Adopt a Pet
Are you interested in adopting a dog? Or a cat?
Did you know that there are literally thousands upon thousands of pets out there, eagerly waiting to meet their new parents?
Pet adoption is fast becoming one the most preferred way to find your new best friend, and there is a perfectly good reason why. A human reason.
The only reason some might say.
Dog and cat adoption saves lives.
According to the human Society, every year, some 2.7 million adoptable dogs and cats are “humanely” euthanized in the United State only!
Let that sink in for a moment.
That’s 2.7 million pets who find their way into a shelter, year in, year out, and are not being adopted into a loving family simply because too few people consider adoption when looking for a pet.
There are many ways to adopt a pet. Here are the ones we personally do not recommend:
- From a pet store
- From a puppy mill
- From a breeder
If you want to becoming the loving parent of a pet, do the right thing. Use one of these two methods:
- From a friend who’s pet has just had kittens, puppies etc…
- From your local shelters, humane societies,
SPCAs, pet rescue groups, and pet adoption agencies who try to get their homeless pets adopted.
Here, at petlove.love, we are committed to the well being of all animals on this gorgeous earth of ours. As such we strongly support pet adoption as the preferred method, not only because our pets need our protection, but more importantly because it’s the right thing to do.
As such, if you want to adopt a pet, the humane thing for you to do is to go to your local animal shelter, humane society, SPCA, pet rescue group and or per adoption agency.
Your next best friend is waiting for you right now, purring, tail wagging or even chirping and ready for you to fall in love.
Adopting a pet is perhaps one of the happiest, most satisfying, experience in the life of any pet lover. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you’ll open your heart wide open to your next best friend.
Pet adoption is the most powerful way of raining into the practices of puppy mills who’s mission it is to breed puppies for profit. Often times on an intensive basis and in inhumane conditions. Profit is the purpose of these establishments rather than the well being of the animals they sell.
If you want to adopt a pet, then we strongly recommend adoptapet.com, North Americal’s largest non-profit adoption website. They list more then 16,000 animal shelters and rescue centers showcasing dozens upon dozens of different breeds to chose from.
They even help you choose the perfect pet by addressing issues such as pet personalities, because adopting a pet is for life and finding the right breed for yourself or your family should start with an understanding of the pet personality.
